I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, consistently making substantial paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
